Controller-guitar for luthier Visionary Instruments

  • Objectives: Create a guitar with an advanced, on-board MIDI controller, augmenting traditional guitar techniques with digital effects.

  • Contributions: Controller design and prototyping, interaction design, collaborative guitar design, collaborative firmware design, software template with Guitar Rig.

  • Status: Premiered at NAMM In January 2013, began shipping made-to-order units in April 2013.

  • Additionally: All luthier work and fabrication by Ben Lewry of Visionary Instruments. Arduino firmware by Jon Moldover.
